Mail (OS X)

To report source information of a suspected phishing email in Mac OS X's Mail application:

  1. Select View > Message > Long Headers (Shift-Command-H) from Mail's menu. Your email will now display all of the tracking information necessary to determine the source of the email.
  2. Select View > Message > Raw Source (Option-Command-U) to display the raw source of the message.
  3. Select all of the text in the message (Command-A) and copy to the clipboard (Command-C).
  4. Paste (Command-V) this content into the Fried Phish form on the reporting phishing scams page.
  5. Enter the complete phish URL into the appropriate field.
  6. Submit your report by clicking on the Report a Phish button.
