IDownload:Overview
From CastleCopsWiki
It all started with the news that CastleCops received a letter from a lawyer representing iDownload/iSearch. They have responded to the letter.
After a day or two, Spyware Warrior also received the Cease and Desist letter from iDownload. Spyware Warrior has also responded to the letter.
Three days later, Sunbelt Software also received the C&D letter and responded to it.
This provoked the posting of these two topics at DSLReports and Wilders Security. Also many articles and blogs entries have been written. (See Links Section)
On the 25th of February, Arlo Gilbert, CEO of iDownload, claims success. The success being that the sites they have contacted (?) have "taken down or properly classified iSearch".
On the 7th of March, CastleCops received a response from iDownload's attorney.
On the 8th of March, Sunbelt Software also received a response from iDownload's attorney.
Read this, and decide for yourself whether or not iDownload is the "s" word.
A petition was created to show iSearch/iDownload how many people are against them and their actions.
Wait, what's this? Arlo Gilbert (AKA Hooper), CEO of iDownload, is a webmaster of a pornographic (gay) site?
To find more info (if you're 18+) go to Google and type in: Hooper iDownload Then look at the results. (You'll find one post from "Hooper" saying he'll give $50 to anyone who finds an error on www.idownload.com.)
The story is still unfolding...
Indeed it is. There have been recent attempts to revise history . Thus this page has been protected. --Ikester 11:13, 3 August 2007 (EDT)
