CastleCops Staff: Security Expert

From CastleCopsWiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Security Experts are individuals with detailed and advanced knowledge of one or more aspects of malware, which include but are not limited to removal tools and techniques, distribution, file structure, and behavior. Security experts fulfill a wide variety of roles including the study and documentation of the aspects mentioned above, the education of those lesser qualified, and the writing or programming of specialized tools for removal to name but a few. While some Security Experts perform the majority of their work on this site others perform theirs elsewhere and visit here at periodic intervals to share information and techniques with their peers. While all Security Experts are considered staff members for purposes of forum access they have no formally assigned duties or responsibilities unless they also fulfill another staff function. Security Experts are not recruited but are instead recognized for their contributions to the community at large.
